Is it necessary to exit immigration? I have not usually had to do this for my other connecting flights.

If you have booked an interline journey after 1 July 2015 with Singapore Airlines or SilkAir connecting flights, you will be through-checked and your baggage tagged and delivered to your final destination. You will receive your boarding passes at your first point of check-in, and you do not need to clear immigration or claim your checked baggage at transit in Singapore.

If you have booked an interline journey containing flights operated by other partners, and have not purchased the Scoot-Thru transfer service*, it is necessary to exit arrival immigration, collect your check-in baggage and check in for your connecting flight to obtain a boarding pass for your connecting flight. Please ensure you have a valid visa for the country of transit if you require one.

If you have purchased Scoot-Thru*, you may simply proceed to the Transfer E desk at the transit area (Terminal 2) to obtain your onward boarding pass. You won’t have to collect your bags or exit the transit area.

* Scoot-Thru is currently available in Singapore only, for connections between Scoot flights or interline connections between Scoot and Tigerair.
